Lords Group Foundation

In 2021, Lords Group Trading officially launched Lords Group Foundation with the aim of giving back to the local communities, building on the philanthropic legacy and charitable work of the majority family shareholders.  

Lords Group Foundation aims to place Lords at the heart of our local communities by focusing support on charitable community projects local to our businesses. So far, we’ve partnered with: 

• Aylesbury: Aylesbury Youth Motor Project  
• Beaconsfield: Tylers Green Village Hall
• Edmonton: Haringey Play Association
• Ladbroke Grove: Westway Trust
• Park Royal: Chandran Foundation  
• Sutton: Sutton United Foundation  
• Hemel Hempstead: Hospice of St Francis 
• Watford: East of England Amulance Service NHS Trust 
• Westbourne Grove: West London Zone

Colleague Fundraising 

Lords’ workforce is very charitable, and their commitment to fundraising and charitable activities is encouraged and supported by the business.  
Here are some examples of colleagues' initiatives and their impact: 

• Dean Seymour, Branch Manager at Lords Sutton, completed the London Marathon raising £3,391 for Alzheimer’s Society. 
• John Laker, Bathrooms Manager at Lords Beaconsfield, combatted Tough Mudder to raise £2,290 for Angelman UK.
• Andy Jeans, Branch Manager at Lords Aylesbury, took part in a charity boxing match, raising over £4,674 for the UK Sepsis Trust.
• Jess Harris, Marketing & Ecommerce Director, completed a half marathon raising £2,160 for the National Autistic Society.  
• Darren Greer, Group Buyer and Ian Scrimshaw, Group Heavyside Purchasing Manager, completed the Asics 10k raised a total of £4,320 for Cancer Research.

All colleagues' initiatives are promoted on Lords’ social media channels to help build awareness and support fundraising. Moreover, their fundraising is supported by Lords Group Foundation which offers match funding up to £1,000. 

We are dedicated to building strong partnerships with local sports clubs that strengthen the relationship between our branches and the local communities. 

Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club 
One of our longest standing partnerships is with Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club. Lords has been supporting the club for eight years and hosting regular events at for customers at their premises. 

Leverstock Green FC 
Another significant partnership is with Leverstock Green FC. They have renamed their grounds to Lords Builders Merchants as a result of our long-standing commitment to supporting the team. 

Sutton FC 
In 2022 we’ve partnered with Sutton FC, a club local to our Sutton branch. Since then, we’ve sponsored a number of matches, a great opportunity to build strong relations with our customers. 

Wycombe Wanderers 
Wycombe Wanderers and Lords have teamed up for the 2023/24 season. The partnership allows Lords to be more present in the local communities, hosting regular events at the Adams Parks stadium, sponsoring matches, and entertaining with half time activities.
